Our love for German Sheperds started at a young age for Felicia. She had German Shepherds her entire life. For some reason her family always named the males "Gilligan". In 1973 when Felicia was about 6 years old, her parents owned their first German Shepherd named "Gilligan".

Before Felicia and Rodger were married and had a family of their own, Felicia owned her own GSD and named him "Gilligan" just like all her old childhood pets. Till this day she still considers this dog her first baby. This "Gilligan" died around 1996 from old age. At this time, Felicia and Rodger had two daughters of their own who were able to experience the amazing GSD breed.

Life made it hard for the family to raise another GSD, but in 2014 Rodger bought Felicia a GSD puppy for her birthday and named her "Mona Lisa". This was their first time to ever raise a GSD inside and to properly train her. Through raising "Mona Lisa" they learned a lot about raising and training dogs to reach their full potential.

In 2016, after talking for months about opening up our own rescue, they came across a GSD in Lafeyette, LA that was in a shelter. On a spur of the moment trip, they drove the 5 hours to go rescue this loveable dog and give him a forever home.
