Our Rescue

Before we go any further, let's  go back to the beginning.

When it came down to us trying to figure out why we wanted to open a rescue none of us could quite figure out exactly why. The more we thought about it the more we realized that it was a bunch of things added together that helped us reach this decision.

One of the first realizations was Rodger retiring in less then 3 years. Trying to figure out what life would be like when this happened only aided in coming up with the idea of opening a rescue.

Since our family owns a GSD, Felicia became part of MANY GSD Facebook groups. While in these groups, she would constantly see images of GSDs that needed homes, some that were found on the street, or worse...some that had been abused. Seeing this stirred up something in heart and brain and made her want to help all of these abandoned dogs.

Then their daughter, Loni, wanted to find a rescue to live with her in her apartment. She could not rescue a GSD because of apartment qualifications. However, the search for the right dog only opened their eyes to all the dogs that needed rescuing. Visiting the different shelters and rescues helped confirm their idea.

Slowly but surely, the idea of opening a rescue was formed!

We have just recently acquired our NonProftit status and now we are focused on raising money, and working on finding foster parents and future dog owners for these GSDs that we hope to take in.

Wish us luck and if you have any tips or ideas feel free to reach out to us and send us an email!
